Job Title: Part-Time Lab Technology Specialist for 3D Printing and Advanced Manufacturing Equipment

Position Overview: Amherst Regional High School is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic part-time lab technology specialist to oversee and support the operation of our 3D printers and advanced manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of these technologies, provide technical support to students and staff, and assist in integrating these tools into the educational curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain 3D printers and other advanced manufacturing equipment (e.g., CNC machines, laser cutters).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D printing and manufacturing equipment.
• Provide training and technical support to students and staff on the use of 3D printing and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum projects involving 3D printing and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials needed for the operation of the equipment.
• Collaborate with educators to integrate 3D printing and manufacturing technology into classroom activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D printers and advanced manufacturing equipment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and support students and staff in the use of technology.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an educational setting.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and X-carve machines.
• Experience with 3D modeling and printing software, preferably Fusion360.

Hours:

• Part-time position, approximately 6.5 hours per week.
